This Spring Swara Yoga  (www.swara-yoga.com) are visiting Bristol, Dublin, London and Copenhagen with an Elemental Yoga Workshop that starts on a Friday night and goes till Sunday evening. This event is a unique opportunity to see how the Elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space can be engaged to restore and keep us balanced, using a wide approach to yoga on all levels, balancing  the 5 bodies of yogic philosophy. (Koshas).

Anyone who is interested in yoga is welcome, as the workshop is a multi-dimensional concept, and can be applied beyond yoga practice and teaching, bodywork and therapy, and into daily life. You do not need an understanding of Anatomy or Physiology to understand this view of the human subtle energy systems, and even if your yoga practices are still quite basic, this way of seeing yoga will inspire you by helping you chose what is best for you.

On Friday evening, we offer a Masterclass that shows all the Elements in practice. It is an opportunity to try something different, and to see how this approach to yoga changes the experience of many simple but useful practices. It is a 2 hour practice that is followed by a one hour overveiw of the weekends format. This Masterclass will be free for those who join the weekend workshop.

On Saturday morning we will begin with a dynamic morning class that begins to show how subtle changes in sequencing of Elemental Yoga can be used to achieve deeply restorative effects and bring more energy to your vital organs, assisting them to function at their optimum. This will be followed by an interactive lecture looking at the global Elemental system at the heart of this form of yoga. It is revealing and therapeutically inspiring for those of us that are attracted to the alchemical harmony that traditional yoga is teaching us to dissolve through. Each lecture contains short practices using mantra, mudra, meditations and breif asana experiences to help in feeling the way the natural Forces are at play within the whole being.

 The Saturday afternoon practice takes a less dynamic approach, to show how all styles of yoga are relevant to our energy needs, at different times. We will explore a more conceptual relationship with Nature's Elements and see how asana and breath when married with visual contemplation can move the Elements with deep reaching effects and reliable results. There will be a Question and Answer based lecture to see how far we can take the group into its connection with the many facets of these 5 elements, and students are invited to apply their own experiences to the model to see if there are benefits there for them. It is often a surprising lecture!

 On Sunday morning, we will create a combined practice, of both yin and yang dynamics, showing how our intention within our approach to yoga can be used to refine the experience of the way the Elements are working together to support your Vital energy.  It is an uplifting journey that will help you see where you could focus within your yoga journies to create more stable and appropriate daily flow. The lecture that follows will show an overview of the Elemental Yoga Therapy system in its wider veiw, explaining the parts that make up the whole in more detail. This in an overveiw of our longer training courses, though it is a contained exploration that invites you to participate and share what you are seeing through the system.

 On Sunday afternoon, we will make a practice, a gentle resolution of the forces we have been activating, to ensure we finish the process feeling grounded and soft. There will be a guided alchemical meditation that offers the chance to take your imagination into the way that our planet is showing us how to find an authentic expression of all our potential aspects. It is a fun afternoon, reaching back into simple ideas and bringing the wise Medicine of Nature's Elements into the spirit of Yoga ritual.

 We will finish the Workshop with a circle to hear from each other, and a chance to ask for any more clues as to how to develop more connection to the yogic Elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space.
